Midsouth now offers the M4E1 Complete Upper, 16" 5.56 Mid Length Barrel with the EK-15 Quantum Handguard. The M45E1 Complete Upper is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and machined for final finish. The Aero Precision upper can be matched with the Aero lower for a perfect fit. The upper is finished with Black Anodizing to prevent corrosion and resist damage. The barrel is a 16", 1 in 7 twist, 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel. The barrel features a 1/2"x 28TPI thread and is mounted to the upper via the forged handguard mounting platform. The Gas system is carbine length and has a .750 block. The barrel has been HP/MPI tested. The free float hand guard is aluminum with a removable 4 inch section Mil Standard 1913 rail on top and KeyMod slots for accessories.
