Hornady Great Plains lead bullets were specifically designed for hunting applications. Thier three-diameter bearing surface makes them easy to load while ensuring a snug fit in the bore. They feature a small base diameter which makes them easy to start down the barrel of the gun. Upon firing the skirt of the hollow base expands to engage the rifling and seal the bore. Bearing surface gradually increases so you have ease starting the bullet, but a tight fit when seated.
