Product Overview:

This die removes the flare from the case mouth and crimps the case mouth around the bullet while maintaining a sharp edge for proper head-space. This die improves feeding of reloaded cases in semi-automatic handguns.

The Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension Taper Crimp Seater Die is a great die for avid reloaders and will improve bullet seating and accuracy. It features a floating sleeve that is designed to align the bullet and case prior to seating, preventing any deformations on the base of the bullet.

Hornady® Taper Crimp Die features intuitive design that allows seating and taper crimping to be completed in one step, eliminating the need for a separate taper crimp die. Precise control is achieved by the use of the Taper Crimp Adjustment Screw that easily adjusts the amount of crimp on the cartridge without changing bullet seating depth or loosening the lock ring. Hornady® Taper Crimp dies feature an alignment sleeve (comes standard – other manufacturers charge extra for this feature) and a seater adjustment screw with lock ring and rubber washer for necessary tension to make fine bullet seating depth adjustments and works to keep the die set together. Key to the Seating Die is the In-line Bullet Seating System that holds the bullet, the case neck and the seating stem in perfect alignment in the floating sleeve

    BEFORE

    the bullet enters the neck of the case for optimum seating and enhanced accuracy results. This die comes with a Hornady® Sure-Loc™ lock ring that clamps around the entire die body applying constant pressure to hold the ring in place. The locking screw tightens the ring without coming into contact with the threads, and the incorporated wrench flats allow easy removal or replacement of the die and eliminates possible damage from pliers.
